Pizza Chef

About the role

An experienced Pizza Chef is sought for the Food & Beverage / Kitchen Operations department in Qatar, reporting to the Head Chef / Executive Chef. The role covers preparing, baking and presenting high-quality pizzas with consistent taste, quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh pizza dough, sauces and toppings from scratch
• Cook Italian, Neapolitan, thin-crust and pan pizzas
• Operate and maintain wood-fired, electric and gas ovens
• Manage dough fermentation, stretching, shaping and portioning
• Maintain ingredients, toppings, cheese, vegetables and meats
• Follow standardized recipes and keep food fresh and properly stored
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the kitchen team for replenishment
• Keep the pizza station clean and organized, minimize waste and support timely order preparation

Required profile

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Pizza Chef or Pizza Maker
• Proven experience in dough preparation, fermentation and pizza baking
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen sanitation standards
• Experience with commercial pizza ovens
• Preferred: authentic Italian pizza, wood-fired ovens, dough hydration and fermentation, recipe development
