About the role
The Commis III supports the culinary team at a leading international hotel brand, preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. This full‑time, onsite position is based in Doha, Qatar, and offers the chance to develop practical kitchen skills within a dynamic hospitality setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
- Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, testing for doneness.
- Prepare cold dishes and assemble plated meals.
- Set up and break down work stations, ensuring proper sanitation of tools, equipment, and surfaces.
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation throughout preparation.
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
- Commitment to uniform standards, confidentiality, and professional communication.
Required skills
- Operating kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
- Food preparation and portioning.
- Measuring, mixing, and following recipes.
