Commissioning Engineer - ICSS

About the role

The Commissioning Engineer – ICSS will support the Commissioning Manager and Principal Commissioning Engineer in delivering on‑site commissioning activities for oil & gas projects. The role involves hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing home‑office deliverables and reporting to the Commissioning Manager.
• Participate in walk‑down inspections, punch‑listing, and functional testing of equipment.
• Develop manuals, start‑up spares lists, first‑fill consumables, and commissioning procedures.
• Perform system checks, function testing, and performance testing for mechanical, electrical and instrument systems.
• Resolve operational and maintenance issues during start‑up and performance tests.
• Supervise craft personnel and coordinate activities with other commissioning engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in oil & gas, preferably with a major contractor or consultant.
• Minimum 3 years in a chemical, refinery, or oil & gas process facility; 2+ years commissioning/start‑up experience.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions to engineers and non‑engineers.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
