Compliance Manager (Qatari Nationals Only)

About the role

The Compliance Manager will lead and monitor key projects for the Legal and Compliance department, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and scope. The role focuses on data protection, privacy, risk management and the implementation of governance frameworks to support business units in operating legally and ethically.

Key responsibilities

• Support monitoring of QR risk and compliance programmes, with emphasis on data protection and privacy.
• Provide day‑to‑day subject‑matter expertise for data protection queries and related initiatives.
• Define project scopes, objectives and ensure successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
• Identify, investigate and mitigate key compliance risks, conducting investigations and recommending remediation.
• Develop and implement corporate risk and compliance governance frameworks based on applicable laws and regulations.
• Create and manage action plans responding to audit findings and compliance violations.
• Act as liaison with local and regional teams to ensure timely case progression and resolution.
• Assist in cyclical reviews of SOPs and policies within the department’s remit.
• Support the QR Compliance generic email inbox and the Data Protection Officer as required.
• Stay updated on national and international legal developments and communicate relevant risks to the business.

Required profile

• Qatari national.
• Strong understanding of data protection, privacy and compliance regulations.
• Experience in managing risk‑based projects and investigations.
• Ability to develop and maintain governance frameworks and policy documentation.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Qatar data protection and privacy laws.
• Familiarity with risk management and compliance investigation processes.
