Contracts Specialist

About the role

The Contracts Specialist ensures that all contracting and procurement activities are carried out in line with the company's business principles and HSSE policies. This role develops and implements procurement strategies for equipment and services, manages the full procurement cycle, and oversees post‑award contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the complete procurement cycle for purchase orders and contracts, including supplier selection, tender preparation, and bid evaluation.
• Develop and execute contracting strategies for project and operational requirements, ensuring safety and timeliness.
• Prepare and manage ITT/ITB packages, negotiate contract terms, and secure favorable agreements.
• Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure smooth delivery of goods from supplier warehouses to company sites.
• Establish long‑term supply‑chain programs such as frame agreements and blanket orders.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct market intelligence, and pursue new qualified sources.
• Manage post‑award contract administration, including order management, close‑out of purchase orders, and handling irregularities or insurance claims.
• Participate in internal networks and external industry relationships to stay informed about business environment changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, contract management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HSSE policies and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during plant shutdown periods.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and audit readiness.
