Design Manager

About the role

The Design Manager will lead the planning, design and implementation of formwork systems, ensuring efficiency, safety and cost‑effectiveness across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and estimating stages, integrating the most efficient and safe formwork systems into projects.
• Supervise technical aspects of formwork design, layout, material selection and implementation.
• Oversee material purchases, deliveries, tracking and forecasting to maximise resource utilisation.
• Stay updated on innovative developments and incorporate new forming systems/equipment to boost productivity and market share.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to secure projects, reduce risk and improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to safety goals by reducing hazards during design planning and ensuring compliance with construction and safety standards.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of BIM Modeling and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with IT tools for design and project management, especially computer‑aided design software.
• Experience with Enterprise Application Architectures/Integration and related patterns.
• Track record of project execution and delivery.
• Knowledge of tender application preparation and presentations.
• In‑depth understanding of drawing requirements and work execution.
