About the role
The University of Doha for Science and Technology is seeking a senior leader to head its Human Capital Directorate. Reporting directly to the President, the Director will shape and execute strategic HR initiatives that support the university’s vision and Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for short‑ and long‑term Human Capital objectives.
- Develop and implement the Human Capital business plan aligned with the university’s overall strategy.
- Lead policy development in partnership with the Vice President, Support Services.
- Advise senior leadership on talent acquisition, talent management, localization, leadership development, employee relations, and digital transformation.
- Oversee strategic workforce planning, recruitment, career development, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar’s labor laws and regulations.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a senior HR leader or director in a large organization.
- Strong advisory skills to senior executives and ability to influence strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing talent acquisition, talent management, localization (Qatarization), and employee relations.
- Excellent understanding of Qatar labor legislation and compliance requirements.
