Director of Supply Chain Management (Qatarisation)

About the role

The Director of Supply Chain Management leads the end‑to‑end supply chain strategy and operations, overseeing procurement, vendor management, warehousing, inventory, and logistics. This senior position owns the department budget, KPIs and a multidisciplinary team, driving cost efficiency and service excellence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the supply chain strategy, goals, budgets and KPIs aligned with corporate objectives.
• Develop and enforce supply chain policies, procedures and controls.
• Monitor expenditures, reconcile budget variances and ensure financial targets are met.
• Direct all supply chain functions to maximise profitability, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Select, negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, warehouse providers and clearing agents.
• Oversee third‑party service contracts, ensure compliance and drive cost, accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements and future business needs.
• Ensure physical stock reconciliation, manage inventory team and supervise stock‑taking activities.
• Coordinate receipt of goods, customs clearance and landed‑cost optimisation.
• Lead tendering processes, from RFI/RFP preparation to commercial evaluation and award communication.
• Support post‑award issue resolution in coordination with Legal Affairs.
• Conduct cost‑benchmarking exercises and align project cost schedules with organisational benchmarks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM are preferred.
• Position reserved for Qatari nationals.
