Engineering Coordinator

About the role

The Ned Doha is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support its engineering team in a luxury hotel environment. The role involves managing documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks that keep the hotel's technical systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the DOE and PR diary autonomously.
• Prepare, compile, edit and issue reports, drawings and presentations as required.
• Process invoices promptly, obtaining necessary approvals.
• Arrange meetings and conferences, taking minutes and action points.
• Transcribe reports, memos, telexes and other correspondence.
• Handle document follow‑up such as offer letters, contracts, visa applications and travel arrangements.
• Produce periodic management reports including power consumption, logbooks and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate daily office activities, ensure accurate document processing and maintain internal communications.
• Update hotel news and staff bulletin boards.
• Monitor and report on performance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other technical systems.
• Assist with procurement of engineering supplies, parts and equipment while maintaining inventory levels.
• Maintain maintenance logs, service requests and repair histories.
• Provide administrative support for engineering projects and liaise with contractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and respond to emergency situations.

• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple administrative tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance reporting.
• Procurement and inventory management capabilities.
