Engineering Logistics Portal Operator

About the role

The Engineering Logistics Portal (ELP) Operator manages Typhoon repairable assets that have failed at Forward, ensuring they move smoothly through quality checks, engineering tasking and repair scheduling. The role works closely with Part M engineers, inventory planners and repair schedulers to meet contractual KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Document and maintain all ML2/ML4 activities and transactions in the IMS system.
• Support daily operations, facilitate reviews and manage deputations as required.
• Drive demand management for ML2/ML4 activities, monitor performance against KPIs and resolve shortfalls.
• Produce reports, identify issues and escalate or resolve them appropriately.
• Liaise with inventory planning, procurement, engineering, finance and maintenance teams to overcome supply‑demand challenges.
• Analyse usage and transaction data to spot repetitive problems and support corrective actions.
• Facilitate urgent item progression and ensure repairs meet DF&P requirements.
• Hold regular repair reviews to guarantee timely delivery to internal customers.
• Mentor QEAF staff joining the MOB organisation from the Qatar Technical Institute.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics or supply‑chain environments, preferably within aerospace or defence.
• Familiarity with engineering quality checks and repair scheduling processes.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage performance data.
