Finance Officer - Abu Dhabi Entity Support

About the role

A third-party staffing vacancy for a Finance Officer based in Doha, Qatar, providing full-cycle finance support to the Company's Abu Dhabi (UAE) entity and Middle East regional operations. The role covers bookkeeping, closing and reporting, treasury and bank account management, and local tax compliance, ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations. The post reports to the Finance Manager, Qatar Branch.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for the Abu Dhabi entity, including voucher preparation and archiving.
• Carry out month-end and year-end closing and prepare financial statements per Group requirements.
• Handle daily receipts and payments and bank accounts, following the fund approval process strictly.
• Reconcile AR/AP and other current accounts, tracking and clearing historical balances and open items.
• Manage UAE tax compliance (VAT, Corporate Tax) with timely filing and zero late returns.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing vouchers, ledgers and supporting documents.
• Liaise with local banks, tax authorities, auditors and consultants.
• Provide other regional finance support and ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Three years of accounting experience, including overseas (Middle East preferred).
• Familiarity with Chinese Accounting Standards and full-cycle entity accounting.
• Knowledge of UAE/Qatar tax regulations and filing experience is preferred.
• CPA, ACCA, CMA or Chinese Intermediate Accountant qualification preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Mandarin Chinese is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
