FP&A Lead / Manager - Bahrain or Qatar

About the role

EY's MENA Finance FP&A team is looking for an experienced finance professional to act as FP&A Lead or Manager in Bahrain or Qatar. The role leads comprehensive P&L analysis and sets up best-in-class support, reporting and analytics solutions, with a focus on financial modelling and Service Line initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of FP&A analysts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all work
• Oversee weekly and monthly reports on business performance
• Own and manage the P&L, ensuring accuracy and accountability across reporting cycles
• Drive actual vs. plan tracking on KPIs, explaining variances with actionable insight
• Deliver financial analytics and insights that shape key business decisions
• Partner with the Operations Lead on root cause analysis of variances and recommend solutions
• Develop financial models across multiple scenarios to assess the impact of changing business levers
• Build strong working relationships with the wider Finance team and Service Line leadership
• Act as the main point of contact for financial data on the supported Service Line
• Contribute to continuous improvement and ad-hoc requests from Finance and Service Line leadership

Required profile

• Finance-related degree from a reputable university
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant finance department experience
• Ideal: a completed or in-progress professional accountancy qualification
• Ideal: experience supporting a professional services organisation or a complex, matrixed business
• Ideal: experience leading automation or reporting transformation initiatives

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
