General Wireline Field Specialist

About the role

Baker Hughes' Oilfield Services business provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control energy extraction assets. As a General Wireline Field Specialist, you will provide wellsite support and guidance to global customers, solving complex problems using the latest technology. The internal title for this role is FIELD SPEC GEN - WLE.

Key responsibilities

• Work under minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks by following instructions on wellsite activity.
• Evaluate completed work to ensure objectives have been met.
• Assist in providing completions logging and completions services at the workshop and wellsite.
• Carry out minor maintenance of equipment and assist in operating completions equipment.
• Conduct all business activities in line with company HSE policies, legal compliance and core values.
• Execute all responsibilities safely at the well site according to equipment and logistics manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 5 years of experience in Wireline Services.
• Proven experience in cased-hole wireline operations.
• Experience with Baker Hughes; offshore experience and rigless experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Fully proficient in rigless intervention operations, including planning and execution.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Pressure Control Equipment (PCE) and well integrity requirements.
• Competence in deploying, operating and interpreting Production Logging Tools (PLT).
• Extensive experience with EMDeX acquisition and logging systems.
• Mast operations, including rig-up, rig-down and safe practices.
• SPN/RPM services and associated data acquisition.
