Governmental Relations Manager (Qatari National)

About the role

The Governmental Relations Manager serves as the primary bridge between the company and government bodies, ensuring compliance with regulations and championing the company’s interests in public policy. This senior‑level position focuses on building strategic partnerships, supporting national hiring initiatives, and providing risk advice to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact with local, regional and national government agencies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key officials and stakeholders.
• Support national hiring programs for Qatari nationals and children of Qatari women, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030.
• Lead public‑private partnership projects in training, infrastructure and digital innovation.
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure the company remains fully compliant.
• Advocate for the company’s policy positions and represent it in regulator meetings, public consultations and industry workshops.
• Translate external laws into clear internal guidance and deliver related training.
• Design and execute strategies to influence public policy and identify government program opportunities.
• Prepare reports, presentations and briefings for senior management on regulatory matters.
• Manage governmental inquiries, investigations and audits, mitigating associated risks.
• Represent the company at industry events to expand the governmental network.
• Develop and control the Governmental Relations budget, tracking spend and ROI.

Required profile

• Qatari national (including children of Qatari women).
• Proven experience in government relations, public affairs or regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of Qatar’s legal framework and the Qatar National Vision 2030.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain high‑level relationships with government officials.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior‑level audiences.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering strategic initiatives.
