Group Taxation Manager

About the role

The Group Taxation Manager oversees all direct and indirect tax activities across the group, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, efficient tax planning and effective risk management. The role covers corporate tax filings, audits, transfer pricing and tax strategies that optimise the group's tax position while complying with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, customs and excise duties
• Manage tax returns and ensure timely filing for all group entities across jurisdictions
• Ensure accurate accounting for taxes in financial statements and tax provisions
• Support internal and external audits, provide documentation and resolve tax queries
• Manage relationships with tax consultants, auditors and tax authorities
• Oversee transfer pricing documentation and automate deliverables for VAT and transfer pricing compliance
• Develop and implement group-wide tax strategies and lead tax planning for new projects, restructuring, M&A and intercompany transactions
• Report to senior management on jurisdictional tax exposures, existing and prospective
• Implement and improve tax governance, controls and systems, including ESR, BEPS and UBO requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Law; a Master's degree or LLM in Taxation preferred
• CA, CPA or CTA professional qualification preferred
• 10+ years of experience in corporate taxation, preferably in a multinational or large group environment
• Experience in tax audits, dispute resolution and tax planning

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of international tax laws, transfer pricing and local tax regulations
• Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
• Analytical problem-solving, risk management and leadership of tax teams
• Project and time management across multiple jurisdictions
