Senior Accountant / Accounts Payable Manager (Qatari)

About the role

A well-established organization in Qatar is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant / Accounts Payable Manager to join its Finance team. The role covers the full accounts payable cycle, from verifying supplier invoices to supporting month-end and year-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Perform three-way matching (purchase order, goods receipt, invoice) and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and execute payment runs in line with approved payment terms
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate vendor records
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Coordinate with procurement, operations and external vendors on payment queries
• Support internal and external audits with the required documentation
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting, at Senior Specialist or Senior Accountant level
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations and accounting principles
• Good communication skills in Arabic and English
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or Dynamics
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail
