About the role

The Head of Secondary oversees the daily operations of the secondary school, develops and implements strategic educational goals and ensures every student receives a well-rounded, high-quality education. The role focuses on curriculum excellence, student achievement and building an environment that nurtures academic curiosity and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the secondary school team, creating a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
• Oversee the development and delivery of the secondary curriculum, aligned with international standards
• Foster a positive school culture supporting students' academic and personal growth
• Collaborate with the leadership team on school-wide initiatives and strategies
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and address areas of concern
• Mentor teachers and provide professional development opportunities in the secondary division
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff and the wider community
• Ensure the school's strategic goals are met and evolve with current educational trends

Required profile

• Master's degree in Education or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within secondary education
• Proven track record of driving academic success and improving student outcomes
• Ability to manage and support a diverse team of educators
• Exceptional communication, leadership and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Experience with international curricula and education standards such as IGCSE, IB or the American system
