Head of Technology – Data & AI

About the role

The Head of Technology – Data & AI will lead Malomatia’s technology practice, shaping the strategic roadmap for sovereign architecture, multi‑cloud, data platforms and AI infrastructure. The role drives revenue growth across Qatar’s government and enterprise sectors while ensuring compliance with national digital and security regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the practice’s strategic roadmap covering sovereign architecture, multi‑cloud, data & AI platforms and cybersecurity alignment.
• Grow revenue and expand the consulting footprint by identifying emerging technology opportunities such as edge AI, sovereign cloud and private LLM infrastructure.
• Set P&L targets, build business cases for technology investments and report performance to senior leadership.
• Lead large‑scale technology transformation programmes for government and enterprise clients.
• Originate and secure strategic advisory and solution engagements, lead complex RFPs and commercial structuring.
• Strengthen ecosystem partnerships to deliver secure, scalable multi‑cloud solutions.
• Shape Malomatia’s sovereign Data & AI vision in line with Qatar’s national digital agenda.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of enterprise technology consulting experience, including multi‑cloud architecture and data platform delivery.
• At least 6 years in a leadership role managing a large managed‑services business and medium‑to‑large teams.
• Deep expertise in sovereign architecture, multi‑cloud strategy (Azure, AWS, GCP), private cloud, Oracle and Informatica platforms.
• Proven experience with cybersecurity‑aligned architecture, data sovereignty and zero‑trust frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data governance, AI governance and secure AI deployment practices.
