High Voltage & EV/HEV Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage & EV/HEV Technician to join our automotive service team in Qatar. The role involves hands‑on diagnosis, maintenance and repair of battery electric, hybrid and plug‑in hybrid vehicles, with a strong focus on safety and high‑voltage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Perform fault diagnosis on high‑voltage batteries, BMS, electric motors, drive units, inverters, converters, on‑board chargers and DC/DC converters.
• Isolate, de‑energise and reactivate high‑voltage systems safely.
• Use diagnostic scanners, multimeters, insulation testers and specialised EV diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, CAN communication and charging‑system faults.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, diagnostic data and fault codes.
• Carry out battery inspections, module‑level diagnosis and repairs where permitted.
• Maintain accurate repair records and report technical findings.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on automotive experience with EV, HEV or PHEV vehicles.
• Technical diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field (preferred).
• Ability to work safely on 400 V and 800 V architectures.
• High‑voltage safety training or certification (strongly preferred).
• Fluent English communication skills.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
