HR Generalist – People Operations (Dubai/Qatar)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, people‑focused HR Generalist to join BSI’s People team. The role provides end‑to‑end HR support across Dubai or Qatar, acting as the primary contact for employees and managers on a wide range of HR matters.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main HR point of contact for employees and managers in the assigned country.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, contractual changes, benefits administration, leave management, payroll coordination, and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and country‑specific documentation in HR systems.
• Provide first‑line guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee‑lifecycle issues.
• Support managers with routine people processes and best‑practice advice.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and assist with monthly payroll activities.
• Assist with employee‑relations matters, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal policies.
• Contribute to regional and global HR initiatives, such as leadership development and performance processes.
• Support HR projects and continuous‑improvement efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist or operational HR role.
• Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and people processes.
• Experience working in a global or matrixed organisation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management, and organisational skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR/HCM systems (specific platforms not listed).
