HSE Officer - Roads and Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time HSE Officer in Doha for roads and infrastructure projects. The role covers routine site inspections, daily safety briefings, monitoring of high-risk work permits, accident investigation and compliance with Ashghal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of excavation, lifting, confined space and traffic-related works
• Deliver daily toolbox talks and safety inductions to workers and subcontractors
• Monitor permit-to-work (PTW) systems for hot work, confined space and lifting operations
• Prepare hazard identification and risk control measures for site activities
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, and prepare reports and corrective action plans
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection logs and compliance records
• Ensure adherence to Ashghal requirements, project specifications and international HSE standards
• Liaise with project engineers, supervisors and contractors on safety issues, and take part in HSE meetings and company QHSE initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience on roads and infrastructure projects
• Previously Ashghal-approved HSE Officer (mandatory)
• Valid Qatar government project approvals

Required skills

• Certification such as NEBOSH IGC or IOSH Managing Safely (mandatory or preferred)
• Ashghal HSE approval for infrastructure projects
• HSE training in Work at Height, Confined Space, Fire Safety and Lifting Operations
