Hygiene Officer

About the role

The Hygiene Officer is responsible for coordinating and ensuring that hygiene and food safety guidelines are followed throughout the hotel in accordance with Dubai Municipality regulations and the HACCP system.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the HACCP/Pre‑requisite program, monitoring, assessing, verifying and following up on compliance.
• Conduct internal and external safety audits for all F&B areas, including the staff canteen.
• Provide health & safety training and on‑job demonstrations for employees.
• Participate in the hotel’s Health and Safety Committee and promote a safe environment.
• Plan and execute fire drills, evacuation procedures and emergency response drills.
• Coordinate microbiological sampling, pest control activities and ensure compliance with local authorities.

Required profile

• Certified in food safety/HACCP or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with hotel staff, clients and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and a professional, confidential approach.
