Installation Supervisor – Offshore Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Installation Supervisor to lead offshore installation activities for EPIC oil & gas projects in Qatar. The role involves managing heavy‑lift and subsea installations, ensuring compliance with engineering designs, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage offshore installations, heave lifts and non‑routine works such as topsides, jackets, pipelines, umbilicals, skids, tie‑in spools, risers and J‑tubes.
• Ensure all field projects are executed according to approved scope, drawings, engineering design and company safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Provide guidance to contractors on heavy‑lift and subsea installation methods, reviewing and approving method statements, inspection and test plans.
• Oversee tendering, engineering review, and approval of contractor deliverables throughout EPIC project phases.
• Participate in engineering workshops (constructability, SIMOPS, risk analysis, 3D model reviews, HAZOP, lifting plan reviews) and offshore campaign activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, equipment movements and construction schedule adherence.
• Act as construction risk‑management representative, identifying risks and ensuring mitigation measures are implemented on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience supervising offshore installation of EPIC oil & gas projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent diploma with relevant safety, quality and construction courses.
• Strong experience in FEED and EPIC project phases with ability to review and approve contractor deliverables.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• In‑depth knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental requirements.
• Proven ability to interpret method statements, inspection plans, schedules and drawings, and to highlight and resolve potential bottlenecks.
• Experience supervising multi‑national, multi‑cultural contractor teams.
