Junior Branch Accountant

About the role

The Junior Branch Accountant supports the finance function of Al-Futtaim Automotive by handling daily cash transactions, recording accounting entries, and performing reconciliations. Working closely with sales, service, and parts teams, the role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies in an automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily cash, card, and cheque transactions for vehicle sales, spare parts, and accessories.
• Issue official receipts and allocate them correctly across sales, service, and parts accounts.
• Maintain the daily cash book and perform end‑of‑day cash reconciliations.
• Prepare daily cash collection reports by business line and arrange timely bank deposits.
• Safeguard cash, cheques, and POS receipts, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
• Record accounting entries for sales, expenses, receipts, and payments in the finance system.
• Support bank, cash, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly closing activities and preparation of financial schedules and reports.
• Verify invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes and maintain proper documentation.
• Coordinate with sales on customer receipts and vehicle delivery documentation.
• Work with the parts department on cash sales and credit postings.
• Assist in reconciling vehicle booking advances against final invoices.
• Ensure correct classification of revenue across vehicle sales, service, and parts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting or cashiering.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
