Lead Engineer – Qatar Executive

About the role

The Lead Engineer is directly responsible for the serviceability and airworthiness of Qatar Executive aircraft, ensuring all maintenance activities meet the highest safety and regulatory standards. This role oversees both scheduled and unscheduled work to keep the fleet operating efficiently and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage shift resources, covering leave, training, sickness and other absences.
• Exercise licence/approval to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and defect rectification.
• Issue Certificates of Release to Service in line with TPM, QE, CPM and third‑party procedures.
• Allocate staff and resources to expedite defect correction.
• Lead the aircraft technical team and ensure overall group performance.
• Advise the Maintenance Manager of potential issues affecting aircraft serviceability.
• Validate final release of work to meet QE targets for availability and reliability.
• Review and improve work procedures, equipment and standards.
• Collaborate with OEMs, vendors and suppliers to resolve defects.
• Train and develop staff for succession planning and risk management.

Required profile

• Valid aircraft maintenance licence/approval.
• Extensive experience in both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a technical maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of QCAA regulations and QR standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
