Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level II (Gulfstream/Bombardier)

About the role

Qatar Executive is looking for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level II based in Doha to support the Lead Engineers and management with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on its Gulfstream and Bombardier fleet. The role ensures timely, quality maintenance in line with QCAA regulations and company procedures, keeping aircraft fully available and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the corporate jet fleet, including troubleshooting and defect rectification on short notice
• Manage the team, determine materials and tools needed, and manage inspections and defect priorities
• Coordinate the use of available pool personnel and advise on impending issues affecting the aircraft and cabin systems
• Release work only after confirming it meets QE standards for aircraft availability, system reliability and acceptable deferred defects
• Review work procedures and equipment to propose improvements, and give on-the-job training to technicians and mechanics
• Work with OEMs, vendors and suppliers to solve aircraft problems, and support QE Maintenance, CAMO and Engineering
• Provide specialist support to other QE departments and carry out additional tasks as instructed by the Maintenance Manager

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent diploma in aircraft maintenance, trade or vocational aircraft maintenance
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft certifying experience
• Current certifying authorization with an EASA or TCCA Part 145 organization
• Experience with recognized corporate jet type ratings, preferably including one aircraft operated by Qatar Executive on the type licence
• Able to make clear decisions under pressure, work independently and as part of a team, and read technical manuals
• Good written and spoken English

Required skills

• ICAO Type II / EASA Part 66 B1 / QCAA license and approvals
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals for the assigned aircraft types
• Current types: Gulfstream 700/650/650ER and Global 5000
