Maintenance Planner – Oil & Gas / Petrochemical, Qatar

About the role

A world-class oil and gas / petrochemical operation in Qatar is looking for a Maintenance Planner. The role focuses on planning and coordinating maintenance so that equipment performs optimally and reliability is maintained. The position is full time, mid to senior level.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Create detailed job plans, work orders and schedules using a CMMS (preferably SAP).
• Monitor work progress and update records to keep maintenance data accurate.
• Review equipment history and support improvements to the maintenance strategy.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out safely and efficiently, in line with HSE and operational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning, reliability and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance planning within a refinery or petrochemical plant.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of static equipment such as pressure vessels, exchangers, tanks, columns, valves and furnaces.
• Familiarity with rotating equipment and general plant maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in SAP or other CMMS tools.
• Sound knowledge of safety systems and permit-to-work procedures in industrial environments.
