Workshop Supervisor - Automotive Aftersales

About the role

Al-Futtaim Automotive is looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead workshop operations, drive technician productivity and ensure high service quality within its automotive aftersales business in Qatar. Reporting to the Service Manager, the role oversees daily repair and maintenance activities, maximizes workshop efficiency, helps achieve service revenue targets and ensures outstanding customer satisfaction. The successful candidate leads a team of technicians, maintains dealership standards and promotes a "Fix It Right First Time" culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop operations, capacity planning and job allocation to maximize utilization
• Monitor technician productivity, efficiency and time booking to hit operational KPIs
• Control work-in-progress, carry-over jobs and workshop loading to optimize throughput
• Ensure compliance with safety, security and operational standards
• Drive Fix It Right First Time performance through quality inspections and technical oversight
• Maintain dealership and manufacturer workshop standards, tools, equipment and technical resources
• Work with Service Advisors on additional repair requirements and analyze repeat repairs to implement corrective actions
• Help manage technical escalations, field reports, technical bulletins and workshop manuals
• Run daily and weekly technician meetings and coach technicians through performance reviews, training plans and certification programs
• Contribute to service revenue growth and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, diploma or ITI in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related field
• 5-7 years of overall automotive dealership experience
• Minimum 3 years as a Workshop Supervisor or equivalent leadership role
• Experience managing workshop technicians and service operations
• Strong knowledge of dealership and distributor business processes
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
