Materials Inspector

About the role

Parsons is looking for a meticulous Materials Inspector to join its Qatar team. You will support site supervision by ensuring construction activities, materials, and workmanship meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor daily progress and report deviations to the Senior Works Inspector or Resident Engineer.
• Review and verify material deliveries and storage for conformity with project standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to address technical or quality issues and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, daily reports, and other required documentation.
• Report safety violations and work with the HSE team to resolve hazardous conditions.
• Support resolution of non‑conformances and conduct follow‑up inspections after corrective actions.
• Participate in site meetings and inspections with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in construction inspection or supervision, preferably on infrastructure or civil projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, technical drawings, and material specifications.
• Familiarity with local and international construction codes and QA/QC standards.
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
