Mechanical Junior Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Junior Supervisor to lead a team of technicians in the maintenance of Typhoon aircraft and related components. The role combines hands‑on mechanical work with supervision, ensuring all tasks are performed to the approved technical data and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on Typhoon aircraft and components.
• Ensure work complies with the relevant work package and approved technical information.
• Diagnose and resolve faults, manage configuration changes and raise ad‑hoc work cards for found faults.
• Supervise personnel, verify competence, and provide guidance and on‑the‑job training.
• Maintain personal task authorisations, logbooks and ensure compliance with MOE and Functionally Mandated Procedures.
• Perform support tasks such as oversight checks, tooling and test equipment control.
• Report impacts on wider programmes and escalate issues as required.

Required profile

• Experienced mechanical technician with a solid understanding of approved technical data sets.
• Proven ability to supervise maintenance personnel and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills for fault diagnosis and configuration management.
• Ability to maintain personal logbooks and, if qualified, act as a designated assessor for Pt‑145 licensing.
• Effective communication and people‑management skills to develop team members.
