Multi-Property Assistant EBC Manager

About the role

The Multi-Property Assistant EBC Manager assists the property's Banquets/Catering Department in its reactive and proactive sales efforts, focusing on group and catering accounts. The role contributes to revenue goals and the financial performance of the department, supports the brand's service strategy and brand initiatives across the sales process, and helps manage the administrative processes of pre-event and post-event phases. It is a full-time, non-management position based in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit and book local catering business and develop group business
• Help complete and distribute catering sales revenue and operation budgets, and forecast revenue
• Track booking goals weekly and compile incentive reports for catering leaders
• Ensure booking guidelines are followed and that leaders maximize space and revenue
• Support the management team in creating and implementing a catering sales and marketing plan
• Assist with selling, implementing and following through on catering promotions
• Handle operational aspects of booked business such as proposals, contracts and customer correspondence
• Sell menu items, beverages, wines, facilities, destination services, business center and audio-visual services
• Distribute catering and group contracts before group arrival and generate lost business reports
• Understand competitor offerings and sell against them
• Manage the turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while maintaining high service levels
• Interact with guests, clients, sales and kitchen, vendors, competitors, the local community and other property departments to ensure guest satisfaction

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience in a sales-related professional area
