Munitions Operations Technician

About the role

The Munitions Operations Technician handles munitions accountability and inventory actions, including historical records, in line with AFMAN 21-200, DAFMAN 21-201 and 11A-1-10 and other applicable technical data. The role also involves operating the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS) and ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement and the Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards at all explosives and non-explosives operations.
• Use TICMS to the maximum extent possible, check its daily connectivity and report discrepancies; assist personnel in training and use of TICMS.
• Complete accountability and historical documentation in a timely manner and advise the Superintendent of any problems.
• Conduct warehouse inventories, reconcile the ADR file in TICMS and follow up on munitions shipments via the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) Global Transportation Network (GTN) Convergency (IGC).
• Monitor shelf and service life, help develop the master inspection schedule and follow up on components needed for munitions TCTOs.
• Perform entry-controller duties as required and work necessary hours, including standby, to support mission needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience with military munitions and two years in munitions operations or equivalent.
• Valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation license; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government clearance (US citizenship required).
• Able to lift, push or pull at least 50 lbs, with normal color perception and depth of vision; domestic and international travel required.
• Preferred: prior USAF MASO or MAJCOM Staff experience and a CCAF degree in Munitions Management.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of USAF Supply and Techn Order systems or US service equivalent.
• Proficiency with personal computers, Windows and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Ability to operate material handling equipment and wear PPE as required.
