Neonatologist

About the role

Al Emadi Hospital is looking for a Neonatologist to provide care for newborns, especially those who are ill or premature, in its modern Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Neonatologist works within a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest level of care to young patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to newborns with critical illnesses or who need special medical attention.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures on newborns.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for newborn patients.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Communicate with families, giving them updates and support about their infant's condition and treatment plans.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in neonatology and apply best practices.
• Take part in training and mentoring junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Neonatology.
• Valid medical license to practice in Qatar, or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 5 years of experience in neonatology; NICU experience preferred.
