Occupational Therapist

About the role

Pearling Season International School is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join its Additional Learning Needs (ALN) department. The role focuses on supporting students with sensory, motor, functional and developmental challenges, helping them succeed academically and socially within an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess students with sensory, motor, functional and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents and the ALN team to monitor progress.
• Provide strategies to improve independence, sensory regulation, fine and gross motor skills, classroom participation and daily functioning.
• Support classroom adaptations and recommend appropriate interventions and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and progress monitoring documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP/support plan development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Relevant professional licence or registration where applicable.
• Experience working with children, preferably in school or SEND/ALN settings.
• Strong understanding of sensory integration, functional skills development and inclusive education practices.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in international or British curriculum schools is an advantage.
