Online University Accounting Tutor

About the role

Qtutoring is recruiting Accounting Tutors to deliver online, university-level lessons to students in Qatar. Applicants currently based in Jordan and Egypt are particularly welcome, as are other qualified remote applicants. Tutors may specialise in one or more of the listed accounting topics.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual and small-group online lessons aligned with students' course outlines.
• Explain accounting concepts, journal entries and financial statements through clear worked examples.
• Guide students through calculations, case studies and Excel exercises.
• Identify learning gaps and adapt lessons to students' needs.
• Prepare practice exercises, support exam revision and track progress.
• Maintain punctuality, confidentiality and academic integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field; a master's degree or PhD is preferred.
• Demonstrated university-level teaching or tutoring experience; two or more years and online teaching experience are preferred.
• Strong spoken and written English; the ability to explain accounting concepts in Arabic is an advantage.
• Reliable internet, a suitable computer, webcam and microphone, and a quiet teaching environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the accounting courses and reporting frameworks offered.
• Proficiency in Excel and relevant accounting tools.
• Confidence using online teaching platforms, screen sharing and digital whiteboards.
• Patience, clear communication and reliable time management.
• ACCA, CPA or CMA qualifications are an advantage.
