Paralegal

About the role

The Paralegal will support North Oil Company (NOC) by applying legal knowledge to governance, compliance and legal control processes. Working within defined frameworks, the role ensures accurate and compliant execution of legal activities across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured legal research, review and interpret laws, regulations, contracts and other legal documents to support governance and routine legal matters.
• Prepare standard legal correspondence, summaries, reports, board resolutions and other documentation using approved templates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Administer contracts, agreements, guarantees and other legal instruments, maintaining registers and document repositories for traceability.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to obtain required legal information, manage signatures, notarisation, submissions and filing.
• Apply governance, compliance and control procedures to maintain accurate, accessible legal records for audit readiness.
• Provide input and documentation support to Legal Counsel on assigned matters and follow up on defined legal actions.
• Implement established legal procedures and work instructions consistently in daily activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of legal systems, templates and workflows.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of legal frameworks, governance and compliance processes.
• Ability to conduct structured legal research and consolidate findings.
• Excellent attention to detail in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and process legal information.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate legal records and registers.
• Familiarity with legal procedures, standards and work instructions.
