Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager will support Qatar Airways Group’s overall compliance and governance programme. You will provide expert advice on a wide range of regulatory requirements and ensure that the Group’s policies and operations align with international compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior management on legal and regulatory matters covering sanctions, export control, anti‑bribery and corruption, due diligence, consumer rights, competition, governance and data protection.
• Draft, review and update policies and procedures to reflect current compliance obligations.
• Interpret and apply compliance laws and regulations to the Group’s business strategies and operations.
• Manage and supervise day‑to‑day compliance activities, ensuring the organisation remains fully compliant with applicable statutes.
• Oversee third‑party risk management, including due‑diligence, sanctions screening and export‑control assessments.
• Lead compliance monitoring, reporting and audit activities across the Group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in compliance, regulatory or audit roles, with at least 5 years in a large organisation or government regulatory entity.
• Proven experience in a multicultural environment, preferably within the aviation sector.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong managerial abilities: delegation, coaching, team development and stakeholder negotiation.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of sanctions, export control and due‑diligence processes.
• Expertise in anti‑bribery and corruption, consumer rights, competition law, governance and data‑protection regulations.
• Experience with compliance risk management and third‑party risk assessment.
