Pastry Line Operator – Production & Packaging

About the role

The Pastry Line Operator works within the Bakery & Pastry department to run production and packaging lines, ensuring safe, efficient, and on‑time output of pastry products. You will be responsible for operating belts, portioning equipment, and coordinating hand‑overs to downstream processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quick serviceability checks at the start and end of each shift.
• Record and report any mechanical irregularities that affect equipment performance.
• Set line speeds and intervals according to product specifications.
• Maintain smooth operation of all assigned machinery throughout the shift.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines, SOPs, and basic maintenance procedures.
• Guide non‑operator staff on proper equipment use.
• Adjust equipment settings to optimise efficiency while preserving safety and quality.
• Coordinate with senior staff and maintenance teams during emergencies.
• Ensure daily KPIs are met and report any deviations.

Required profile

• High school, vocational qualification, diploma, or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating production lines in a bakery or food‑manufacturing environment.
