Physiotherapist (Female Required)

About the role

AZF Aspetar is recruiting a female physiotherapist to provide direct clinical care in its department. The role covers assessment, treatment and management of patients, including athletes and non-athletes, and involves independent decision-making on treatment plans and discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Independently assess, analyse and diagnose patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention.
• Plan, implement, evaluate and progress patient care to maximise rehabilitation potential, managing a caseload of athletes and non-athletes.
• Contribute to evidence-based practice and help develop assessment and treatment protocols.
• Make decisions on discharge planning independently or with the Senior Physiotherapist.
• Support the Senior Physiotherapist with continuing education, in-service briefings and training, and take part in case reviews, workshops and courses.
• Use research skills and take part in research projects at a basic level.
• Take part in clinical audits supporting the service's clinical governance strategy.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating with other disciplines and maintaining patient records and statistics, including independent charting using Cerner.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy or equivalent; a Master's degree in Sport Physiotherapy is desired.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience, of which 2-3 years in a similar position, preferably in a similar industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy caseloads independently.
• Sports physiotherapy background is required.
• Fulfilment of all licensing requirements.
