Practice Unit Leader – Data & AI

About the role

The Practice Unit Leader – Data & AI will shape malomatia's sovereign Data & AI technology vision, drive large‑scale transformation programmes and expand the consulting footprint across Qatar's government and enterprise sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the strategic roadmap for the Technology Practice, covering sovereign architecture, multi‑cloud, data platforms, AI infrastructure, and cybersecurity alignment.
• Grow revenue and expand malomatia's technology consulting footprint across Qatar's government and enterprise sectors.
• Identify, assess, and pursue emerging technology opportunities such as edge AI, sovereign cloud, private LLM infrastructure, and zero‑trust architecture.
• Set P&L targets, build business cases for technology investment, and report practice performance to the BU Leader and Board.
• Originate and secure strategic technology advisory and solutioning engagements, lead complex RFPs and commercial structuring, and strengthen ecosystem partnerships.

Required profile

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology consulting, multi‑cloud architecture, data platform delivery, and AI technology.
• At least 6 years in a leadership role managing a large managed services business and medium to large‑sized teams.
• Deep expertise in sovereign architecture, multi‑cloud strategy, Azure, AWS, GCP, private cloud, Oracle, and Informatica platforms.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity‑aligned architecture and compliance with data sovereignty and security frameworks.
