Programmer (AI/ML) – Operational Digital Twin

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Programmer (AI/ML) to contribute to a large‑scale Geospatial Digital Twin programme for a national infrastructure owner in the Middle East. You will work across discovery, proof‑of‑concept, implementation and post‑implementation phases, helping to design and operationalise AI/ML components that power the Operational Digital Twin platform.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Software Development Lead and Data & Architecture team in designing AI/ML solutions for the Digital Twin.
• Prepare and transform structured, time‑series and geospatial data for modelling, including cleaning, joining, aggregating and feature engineering.
• Develop an AI‑powered knowledge and query assistant using large language models and a retrieval‑augmented generation engine.
• Train, validate and deploy AI/ML models (prediction, classification, anomaly detection, optimisation, forecasting) as scalable services or micro‑services.
• Implement monitoring, performance tracking and periodic retraining processes, and troubleshoot data drift or accuracy issues.
• Document model assumptions, choices, limitations and usage guidelines, and support knowledge transfer to client and operations teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with AI/ML development lifecycle, from data preparation to model deployment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with international experts, developers and engineers.
