Project Engineer – Smart Water Metering

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead the deployment and upkeep of smart water metering solutions, ensuring reliable data flow across the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) networks. This role collaborates closely with project teams, contractors and utility stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, safe installations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of smart water metering systems.
• Monitor AMI/AMR infrastructure to guarantee reliable data communication.
• Coordinate activities with project teams, contractors, and utility stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot meter, network, and communication platform issues.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in water infrastructure projects, AMI/AMR projects, or smart utility metering.
• Hands‑on experience with smart water meter systems and communication technologies.
• Experience on GCC utility projects is an advantage.
