Proposal Engineering Trainee – Fresh Graduate Opportunity

About the role

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a proactive engineering graduate to join its Proposal Engineering team in Doha. The trainee will support the development of technical and commercial proposals for smart infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, create layouts and develop technical solutions under guidance.
• Prepare technical documentation such as datasheets, compliance matrices and method statements.
• Assist in cost estimating, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and price breakdowns.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and project teams to gather technical inputs and ensure alignment with customer requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial or related engineering.
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of experience (internship experience is a plus).
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, costing tools or ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.
