QA/QC Engineer - Instrument Equipment

About the role

This QA/QC Engineer covers the quality control of instrument equipment such as DCS, SCADA, RTU and ESD systems, from RFQ through shipment. The role handles quality issues including TBE, PO, KOM, PIM, manufacturing, in-progress inspection, pressure test, FAT and final inspection. It is filled through a third-party staffing arrangement: the employee signs an employment contract with the HR agency and provides services to the client.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the company's quality requirements and take part in meetings with vendors so they understand them.
• Attend KOM and prepare the quality section of the KOM presentation.
• Review and comment on vendor documents such as ITP, MPS, FAT procedures and reports.
• Follow up on disputed points and hold clarification meetings if needed.
• Ensure PIM is held on schedule, organize the PIM meeting as host, and verify NOI readiness before forwarding it to the TPC coordinator.
• Review the TPC inspection report and issue NCRs when discrepancies appear, asking the vendor to resolve them within 3 working days.
• Review the manufacturer's record book and as-built dossier.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
• 8 years of direct experience in inspection or execution of manufacturing activities.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001 quality system requirements.
• IEC 60079 qualification.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; quick learner, patient, team player, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of codes such as ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA standards, NFPA 70 (NEC) and UL 94.
• Good office software skills and computer knowledge.
