QA/QC Engineer - Pipeline

About the role

This QA/QC Engineer position covers the quality of pipeline products such as line pipe and subsea piping, from request for quotation through shipment. The candidate handles quality issues across the full lifecycle, including TBE, PO, KOM, PIM, manufacturing, in-progress inspection, pressure test, FAT and final inspection, covering materials such as CS, SS, DSS, SDSS, Inconel 625, nickel-aluminum bronze and titanium. The role reports to a Senior Procurement Quality Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the company's quality requirements and take part in meetings with vendors so they understand them.
• Attend KOM and prepare the quality section of the KOM presentation.
• Review and comment on vendor documents such as ITP, MPS, FAT procedures and reports.
• Follow up on disputed points and hold clarification meetings if needed.
• Ensure PIM is held on schedule, organize it as host, verify NOI readiness and review the TPC inspection report.
• Issue NCRs when discrepancies appear and push the vendor's resolution proposal or root cause analysis within 3 working days.
• Review the manufacturer's record book and as-built dossier.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
• 8 years of direct experience in inspection or execution of manufacturing activities.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001 quality system requirements.
• Working knowledge of codes such as API 5L, DNV-ST-F101, ASME B16.5, MSS SP-44 and NORSOK L-005.
• CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI or IWE and NDT qualification.
• Fluent written and spoken English; good office software skills; able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
