QA/QC PLC Automation Technician

About the role

Avanceon Automation & Control Qatar, an industrial automation and control system integrator, is looking for a QA/QC PLC Automation Technician. The role ensures that PLC panel assemblies meet high quality standards by supervising assembly work, carrying out quality checks and enforcing design and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise PLC panel assembly so that it complies with design drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out QA/QC inspections covering wiring accuracy, functionality tests and documentation reviews.
• Perform PLC panel power-up, IO checkout, logic/HMI internal testing and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) internally and with clients.
• Work with the design team on red markups and resolve discrepancies in drawings or wiring.
• Prepare detailed progress and quality reports with key metrics and improvement areas.
• Ensure work complies with QCS2014 and safety protocols, and keep records of inspections, test procedures and findings.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation or a related technical field.
• 7-8 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC roles within automation, PLC panel assembly or system integrator environments.
• Preferred: valid Qatar visa with NOC and a driving licence.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PLC wiring techniques, industrial automation standards and schematic interpretation.
• Ability to read and analyse design drawings, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
