Quantity Surveyor – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a national operator on a long‑term contract in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The role focuses on tender preparation, contract administration, and cost engineering for oil, gas and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender and contract documentation based on scope of work and bill of quantities.
• Lead technical and commercial evaluations for all tenders.
• Act as the department liaison with Legal, Finance and Tender Committees.
• Maintain and update unit cost data and upload project cost information to the in‑house Cost Estimating Database.
• Represent the client in cost engineering, budgeting and invoicing matters.
• Determine estimation strategies, rates and mark‑ups for cost estimates.
• Review and endorse/reject contractor invoices, TDRs and claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, covering tenders, contracts, outsourcing, contract administration and estimating.
• Proficiency in SAP Outsourcing Module and MS Office applications.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
