Research Officer – Media Industry Analyst

About the role

The Research Officer/Specialist leads research on media industry topics, trends and dynamics. You will analyse competitive landscapes, summarise findings for internal and external stakeholders, and support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research relevant media industry topics, including regional and global trends, sector growth, innovations and regulatory developments.
• Manage benchmarking analysis of regional and global competitors to keep MCQ’s offerings competitive.
• Summarise research findings in reports for internal and external use and assist the marketing team in communicating insights.
• Organise and maintain research data, ensuring accessibility and reliability for future analysis.
• Liaise with external partners such as universities, research centres and service providers.
• Utilise advanced data analytics and visualisation tools to derive actionable insights and develop predictive models.
• Coordinate cross‑functional research efforts and foster knowledge‑sharing across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related discipline from a reputable university.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder interaction.
