Reservations Agent

About the role

A hotel is looking for a Reservations Agent to handle guest booking requests and keep reservation records accurate. The role covers enquiries by phone, email and online channels, as well as coordination with other departments so guests can arrive smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Handle reservation enquiries by telephone, email, online channels, travel agents and corporate clients.
• Process bookings, amendments and cancellations accurately.
• Explain apartment categories, rates, packages and booking conditions clearly.
• Recommend accommodation for short and extended stays and spot upselling opportunities.
• Follow up on enquiries, tentative bookings, deposits and payment guarantees.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, Leasing and Finance for smooth guest arrivals.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and protect guest confidentiality.

Required profile

• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Previous experience in hotel reservations, Front Office or a similar guest service role preferred.
• Hospitality-related qualification preferred.
• Ability to manage several enquiries at once and work well in a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Excellent telephone etiquette, attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS and hotel reservation systems is an advantage.
