Road Works Inspector – Qatar

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Works Inspector to oversee road construction activities in Qatar. The role involves ensuring that all works are executed on schedule, within budget, and meet the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities to verify compliance with design specifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Inspect materials and workmanship, ensuring they meet quality specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily inspection reports, safety logs and quality control records.
• Coordinate with construction teams on grading, paving, drainage, signage and other road works.
• Manage site safety, enforcing protocols and minimizing risks for workers.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of road components prior to hand‑over.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of inspection experience on large‑scale road or highway projects.
• Strong knowledge of road construction standards, codes and regulations, particularly in the Middle East/GCC region.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with inspection reporting software.
• Ability to use AutoCAD or similar civil‑engineering design tools.
